Hut to hut touring ski trip expedition starting from Bariloche at the Andes. Visiting Frey and Jakob mountain hut where we stay for the night. Great 360° mountain views while enjoying awesome ski lines. Amazing slopes and traverses, for experts skiers.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Starting at Bariloche, we drive 30 minutes to the base of the mountain. Ski lift from C° Catedral. We ski Van Titter valley, through Col del Viento, reaching Van Titter river. Climb to Frey hut. At night, warm meal. Sleep in the hut.
Day 2:
Breakfast. We traverse frozen Toncek Lagoon, and climb up to "Cancha de Football". Then, 400 m down skiing to Rucaco valley. Flat touring for a while and we make 300 m climb to C° Brecha Negra. Down skiing to Refugio San Martin at Laguna Jakob. Wood stove in the hut. Dinner. Relax and Guitar time.
Day 3:
Breakfast. Regular trail back, following Casa de Piedra river.. Skiing and walking. Back to Bariloche.
Includes: Transport in-out hotel, lunch box, beacon, probe, and shovel. 2 nights in Refugios + 2 dinners and breakfast. Mountain Guide.
Not Included: Touring Skis and Boots. Ski Lift Tickets.
