About us: Patagonia Mágica

mountain guides Patagonia ArgentinaPatagonia Magica has started as a mountain guiding company in a wonderful small corner of the Andean range, a place where the wind plays with the landscape, where the forest has a special atractive, where the mountain has a magical beauty. We are located right there where all the mountaineering, climbing and trekking activities begin in the Fitz Roy - cerro Torre area by the South Patagonian ice cap.

Patagonia Mágica have been developing its activity for more than 16 years in El Chalten, a place well known for it's natural beauties and for being the most popular trekking place in Argentina, where with love and respect for nature we started our excursions. After many years traveling and climbing around the world, and guiding in different places of the country, we offer you the best adventure in South Patagonia.

We are dedicated to preserving the culture and wilderness of Patagonia through low impact travel. We always form small groups for our activities in order to provide a more personalized service in mountain guiding but also to minimize impact on natural envirorments of the Los Glaciares National Park.. We also pack out all our garbage.

Our company's main goal is to give you the best outdoor experience, helping in the natural enviroment and ensuring safety in the expedition.

The Patagonia Mágica Team:

Patagonia Magica gathered a group of mountain guides specialized in the extreme conditions of South Patagonia. They all manage perfectly in the rough climate conditions of the place, taking determinate decisions when bad weather shows. All our guides are highly trained professionals and experts in the field, excellent climbers and mountaneers, with differnt summits and expeditions achieved, in Patagonia and around the world. They all speak fluent English, as well as Spanish and other languages. They are certificated by the Argentinian Mountain Guides Association and trained in backcountry emergencies "Wilderness First Responder". Patagonia is for most of our guides, home, therefore, we are familiar with the field in which we move. Glaciers, forest, rivers and trails are our daily routes.

Our guides provide the best possible combination of leadership, safety, skills, and knowledge of the area to make each trip a safe yet challenging adventure, taking into account the comfort level of individuals on every trip.
