3)Volcano Osorno: 3 days touring ski expedition

Season: July to September
Minimum required age: 21 years

Starting from San Carlos de Bariloche we cross the boarder to Chile where our ski expedition begins combining great backcountry skiing on volcanoes with great views of the Andes and the Pacific ocean. Staying at cozy mountain hut with great chilean food.


Itinerary:


Day 1:
Starting at Bariloche city, 5 hour drive, within a spectacular view, to Argentinian- Chilean border, then to Puerto Varas town. From there drive to refugio Teski at the Osorno volcano base, where we spend the night and where starts our backcountry ski expedition. Outstanding sunset on Llanquihue lake with tasty dinner and wine.


Day 2:
early + substantial breakfast. Then we start our 1500 mts climb, skinning up to the summit. .Generally, the last 300 m to the summit, is icy and steep. Therefore, we leave our skis and put crampons on, to reach the top. Whe touring ski all the way back to Osorno volcano base, grab our gear and drive to Puerto Varas city, where we have dinner and sleep in a homy hostel.



Day 3:
We drive back to Bariloche through the Puyehue pass Chilean - Argentine border crossing of the Andes.

Includes: Transport in-out hotel, lunch box, beacon, probe, and shovel. 1 nights in Refugio +1 night in Hotel in Pto Varas+ 2 dinners and breakfast. Mountain Guide - ski guide

Not Included: Touring Skis and Boots.
