Season: November to March
Required minimum age: 12 years
Last camp for climbers attempting the Fitz Roy summit. Spending the night
bivouacking in snow holes waiting for the right weather conditions.
Itinerary:
Day 1: trek from El Chalten to Rio Blanco basecamp. Set up tents
for camping. Trekking time: 3 hrs. (D)
Day
2: Up to Paso Superior, towering "de los tres" glacier, where
we will dig a snow cave to spend the night bivouacking. Trekking time:
7 hrs. (B-L-D)
Day 3: If weather allows, visit Superior glacier, closest
spot to Fitz Roy east wall. Back to Chalten. Trekking time: 9hrs.

Day 4: Extra day in case of bad weather.
Includes: transfers, camping lodging, meals as
quoted (L: lunch, D: dinner, B: breakfast) with non alcoholic beverages,
guiding service. Also group equipment: tents, stoves, technical gear,
first aid kit, GPS, and radio.
Not included: personal gear, clothes, boots, skis, sleeping
bag, back pack, phone calls, insurance, dinner and beverages not detailed, porters
and tips.
