Trekking

The trekking season in South Patagonia begins in October ending the beginning of May. The warmer months are January and February stretching to the beginning of March. Nevertheless be prepared for cold weather and flurries at any month of the year. We offer a wide variety of trekking tours from beginners to expert trekkers, having also programs for families with children older than 8 years.

One day trek

We offer guiding services to classical basecamps and trails. Laguna Torre, Laguna de los Tres, Loma del Pliegue Tumbado, Piedra del Fraile.

Cerro Torre & Fitz Roy

 Dificultad: Easy     Duración: 2 Days

Two days hike, visiting the most famous basecamps of the area, and the best viewpoints of these mountains.

Paso del Cuadrado

 Dificultad: Moderate     Duración: 2 Days

One of the best views of the Fitz Roy and Torre ranges.

Day 1: Transfer Chaltén – Río Eléctrico. Hike to Piedra del Fraile. 3 hrs. trek (D)

Day 2: Back to Piedra del Fraile and to El Chaltén. 10 hrs. trekking (B-L)

Mágica Trek

 Dificultad: Moderate     Duración: 4 Days

Ideal combination for families or group of friends. A designed circuit in which we visit the major points of the National Park.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer to Rio Electrico (16 kms). Hike to Piedra del Fraile, where we set up camp. After lunch hike to Rio Pollone and homonymous lagoon. Back to camp 6 hrs. trekking. (B-L-D)

Day 2:  Hike to next camp at Rio Blanco, through Piedras Blancas lagoon and Piedras Blancas glacier. Set up camp. 5 hrs trekking. (B-L-D)

Día 3: After breakfast, we hike up to Laguna de los Tres at 1150 mts.. Great view of the Fitz Roy range. Back to camp, we pick up our gear and hike to Laguna Torre, our next camp. 7 hrs trekking. (B-L-D).

Día 4: Hike to Mirador Maestri. After a good breakfast, we hike near the glacier of Torre lagoon. Back to camp and to Chalten. 9 hrs. Trekking (B-L)
